With over 19 years of expertise in financial strategy, planning, and internal controls, Amila brings a wealth of experience to the Adrops team.
Having served as a Financial Controller of a leading Swiss-based multinational subsidiary for over a decade, he played a key role in driving financial reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic growth. Working closely with teams across Asia Pacific and Switzerland, he developed a strong appreciation for multicultural business environments and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and senior stakeholders.
Amila has extensive experience in financial reporting and consolidation using Oracle Hyperion, ensuring compliance with IFRS and alignment with global reporting standards. Beyond finance, he has led IT operations and supported Logistics, HR, Operations, and Sales, promoting cross-functional collaboration and overall performance improvement.
His earlier experience in stock brokering, chemical, and plantation industries adds depth to his financial management expertise across diverse sectors. A Fellow Member of CIMA (UK), Amila holds a master’s in financial economics from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and a bachelor’s degree in business administration (Special) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.
Combining deep technical expertise with strategic insight, he helps clients gain confidence in the accuracy, efficiency, and growth-focused outcomes of their outsourced accounting and financial management.
SUNESH SANJEEWA
Rohan Sunesh Sanjeewa is an accomplished finance professional with close to 20 years of experience spanning FMCG, banking, manufacturing, and audit. He is a member of CPA Australia, CIMA (UK), and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (Special) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He brings a well-rounded combination of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic insight.
He has successfully led large finance teams, driving process improvements, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. His expertise spans financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and IT systems integration, with proven success in delivering accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights to senior management.
Sunesh is also experienced in managing external and internal audits, implementing enterprise systems, and supporting board-level decision-making. With a track record of improving operational efficiency, enhancing governance frameworks, and mentoring finance professionals, he is committed to delivering measurable value and contributing to sustainable business growth.
THUSHARA GAJANAYAKE
Thushara is a seasoned finance and accounting professional with extensive experience at board and executive level. A Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) of Australia, Thushara brings strong technical expertise combined with strong commercial acumen.
He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Thushara currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of a publicly listed company in Sri Lanka, where he plays a key role in financial strategy, governance, and organizational performance.
Previously, he worked with EY Sri Lanka and was seconded to EY Singapore as a Manager, gaining valuable international exposure and experience in complex and large-scale assignments. He has a proven track record in strengthening financial controls, implementing control and process improvements, and delivering cost efficiencies that result in enhanced financial performance.
A commercially astute finance leader, Thushara has extensive experience in annual report preparation, integrated reporting, and ESG reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with best-practice sustainability and governance frameworks. He is experienced in leading high-performing teams, working closely with Boards and senior management, and managing multiple senior stakeholders.
He is recognized for his strong financial control and reporting capabilities, excellent communication and influencing skills, and his ability to operate under pressure to meet stringent deadlines. He thrives on new challenges and is known for seeing initiatives through from inception to successful completion without losing sight of key deliverables.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Thushara serves as a Visiting Lecturer for the Master of Business Administration programme at the University of Ruhuna, contributing practical industry insight to academic learning.
